In the current five-year plan, there will be 6 more scientific and technical programmes than in the previous one. Government customers will be mainly industry regulators: relevant ministries and departments better understand the needs of specific fields. One of the key areas of development will be artificial intelligence, innovative agriculture, mechanical engineering, drones and microelectronics. The scientific community of Belarus has about 14.000 researchers. The National Academy of Sciences cooperates with colleagues from more than 90 countries. In 2025, Libya and Cuba were added to the list.
