For the first time a unique spinal surgery was performed in Belarus

Doctors of the Vitebsk Oblast Clinical Hospital performed a unique operation to stabilize the cervical spine using 3D implants. Such operations have not been performed in the country yet. Doctors have developed a unique stabilization system and replaced part of the cervical vertebrae with titanium 3D-implants of domestic production, which were made individually for the patient. Now the man is on the mend and is learning to walk again. The Center for Surgical Spinal Infection at the Vitebsk Oblast Hospital was established 2 years ago in order to solve the urgent problem of spinal inflammation. Today, patients from all over the republic are consulted here, and over 60 operations using 3D implants were performed last year.
