Celebrations in honor of the Border Guard Day are underway in Belarus

The President of Belarus has congratulated the commanders, personnel and veterans of the border guard bodies on their professional holiday. Most of the service of border guards is carried out at checkpoints and border posts, which control the entire contour of the country. This is 3.617 kilometers. Given the tense situation at the southern and western borders, mobile special units, which quickly react to any situation, help to keep the border under control. Over the past year, border guards detained more than 3.000 violators, revealed hundreds of problematic documents, prevented shipments of drugs, firearms and ammunition from entering the country. Traditionally, solemn events are held in Minsk and regional centers on the Border Guard Day.
