The presidential election in Belarus was held in full compliance with the principles of openness and publicity, said Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Belarus Igor Karpenko at a meeting of the CEC. There were no complaints from citizens and observers about violations of the electoral legislation. More than 44.000 national and 486 international observers monitored the presidential election. During the campaign period the CEC information сenter worked, more than 2.200 calls were processed. The main topics of the calls were the search for a polling station, clarification of information about the locations of candidates' election programs, and the desire to vote at a place other than the place of registration. The work on consideration of written appeals was also carried out. More than 100 of them have been received since the beginning of the campaign. Also, the head of the CEC said that there were recorded facts of administrative offenses committed by voters: taking pictures of filled-in ballots, cases of taking ballots outside the voting premises. "According to the available official data, 639 ballots were allegedly taken out of polling stations", said Igor Karpenko.
