Brest customs officers carried out a large research work to find information about their colleagues — participants of the Great Patriotic War. The event was timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. The portraits of 120 veterans, who worked in Brest Customs in different periods, are placed at four banners. Having scanned the QR codes, one can learn all the information about the veterans. The initiative of the customs officers was supported by the relatives of the veterans. The information was gathered literally by bits and pieces: they studied personal files, made inquiries to the archives of the post-Soviet space.
