97 years ago, the first program of the Belarusian radio broadcasting was aired. This day is considered to be the birthday of the Belarusian radio. The first broadcasts lasted only 30 minutes a day. Nevertheless, the radio developed quickly. In 1928, the BSSR launched a campaign to make wire radio broadcasting widely available, and already in the 1930s people were listening to radio everywhere. Radio sets became a real symbol of their time. And the monumental building of the Radio House at 4 Krasnaya Street has become the first radio broadcasting center across the post-Soviet area. And today the House airs programs all over the country and even outside of it. First National Channel, Radio Belarus International, Stolitsa, Kultura, Radius FM, as well as regional radio stations meet all the needs of even the most demanding listener.
