Belarusian military personnel are taking part in CSTO exercises

Joint CSTO exercises — "Interaction" and "Echelon" — are underway in Russia. In addition to Russia, military contingents from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan are participating in the maneuvres at a training ground in Chelyabinsk Oblast. In total, approximately 2.000 troops and 350 units of weaponry and specialized equipment are involved. These large-scale drills focus on practicing the containment of an armed conflict along the border. Key priorities include equipping forces with modern weaponry, such as unmanned systems, reconnaissance assets, electronic warfare capabilities and enhancing air defense systems.
