Belarus President in India on an official visit

The President of Belarus is on an official visit to India. The solemn welcoming ceremony of Alexander Lukashenko took place the day before in the presidential palace in New Delhi. Today, Alexander Lukashenko meets with the leadership of the country, including the president and the prime minister. In the first half of the day the head of state visited the «Raj Ghat» memorial, where he laid a wreath at the monument to Mahatma Gandhi. This place is revered by all the citizens of India. A meeting with Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj was also held. At the talks, Alexander Lukashenko stressed that the economy should be the foundation of bilateral relations.
