Belarus offered its candidature for participation in the elections to the Executive Board of UNESCO. As the Ambassador to France and Permanent Representative of Belarus to this organization Pavel Latushko stated, if elected, our country intends to make efforts to enhance the role of UNESCO. The diplomat stressed that Minsk has good achievements in the field of education for sustainable development and is ready to share its experience with all interested countries. These days the UNESCO headquarters in Paris hosts the 39th session of the General Conference of the organization. Elections to the Executive Board are scheduled for November 8.
