Belarus marks Constitution Day. The first Constitution in the history of sovereign Belarus was adopted in 1994. The Document underwent some amendments after two national referendums. President Alexander Lukashenko congratulated Belarusians on that holiday. Traditionally, ahead of Constitution Day, the nationwide action is held titled We are Citizens of Belarus. The project was launched by the Belarusian Youth Union 14 years ago. In a solemn ceremony, heads of state bodies give the first passports to the country’s best students, athletes, and young social activists.
