Local authorities have more responsibility for the development of regions — this is one of the instructions of the Head of State. In 2025, about 7.000 empty residential buildings were involved in household turnover in the country: almost 20% more than in 2024. 5.000 objects have already been demolished — these are buildings that cannot be restored. The land is not empty: it is transferred to citizens or agricultural organizations. The unified register of empty houses contains information about 28.000 addresses that are waiting for their owners. Citizens are also offered about 400 objects for one basic amount.
