Belarus has introduced electronic visas for citizens of 67 countries. The innovation came into force today. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this option is available to holders of ordinary passports from the United States, Canada, EU countries, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Great Britain and a number of other countries. At the same time, electronic visas are single-entry and individual. They will be issued for no more than 30 days. Depending on the purpose of travel, the following categories of e-visas are envisaged — business travel, participation in sports, cultural, scientific, educational events and internships; private affairs, tourism. Electronic visas are issued automatically without the need to visit Belarusian foreign offices and provide visa support documents. The consular fee for issuing an electronic visa does not differ from the fee for a visa that is pasted into a passport. In addition, one should also pay a service fee of €6. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs notes that the previously introduced visa-free regimes remain in force.
