Belarus and Iran open a new page of cooperation in the sphere of international election observation

The elections in Belarus were held according to all standards of democracy, and Western countries should learn from such openness of the process. This statement was made by representatives of the observer mission from Iran during a meeting with the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Belarus Igor Karpenko. The delegation was impressed by the high percentage of turnout across the country. Observers from the Islamic Parliament of Iran worked at a variety of polling stations. The representatives of the mission noted the top level organisation and the absence of violations. "Such a representative delegation of Iran is taking part in the observation of the presidential election in Belarus for the first time. Relations are developing in all directions, and now we are opening a new page of cooperation between our countries in the sphere of international election observation", said Igor Karpenko.
