Belarusian schools will change their approach to organizing school meals since September. Prime Minister Alexander Turchin signed a corresponding decree. The main goals of the updated standard are to adapt the menu to children's actual tastes, optimize cafeteria operations, and strengthen quality control. One of the changes concerns a set menu: a unified set of dishes has been introduced. Students will receive a second breakfast during the first shift and an afternoon snack during the second. The menu includes three mandatory items: a fresh salad, a hot dish, and a beverage. Furthermore, school meal service providers will be given greater flexibility. Based on regular surveys and monitoring of student preferences, specialists will be able to promptly update the menu at each individual school.
