A search and memorial project, "To Those Who Did Not Return from Flight," will be presented in Borisov

An exhibition dedicated to the heroism of Soviet pilots is on display in the gallery of the Kolodeyev Regional Library. This is the result of the work of the "Aviapoisk-Borisov" search group. The search team has been working for 10 years, during which time they have discovered 100 aircraft crash sites from the Great Patriotic War and identified the names of 30 pilots previously considered missing. The exhibition features 16 exhibits containing military artifacts. The most interesting part of the exhibition is fragments of the aircraft belonging to Nikolai Gastello's crew. Thanks to these items, it was possible to confirm the exact location of the pilot's heroic act, the fact that a Soviet aircraft rammed an enemy column, and the burial site of Gastello's heroic crew.
