A poetry evening was held in Minsk to mark International Mother Language Day and the Year of the Belarusian Woman. Representatives of the diplomatic corps and members of the National Commission for UNESCO attended the event. In total, over one hundred guests from 30 countries attended. The heads of diplomatic missions recited poems by outstanding poets celebrating the spiritual beauty and wisdom of the fair sex. All creative works were performed exclusively in the Belarusian language.
