A doctor from Mogilev received a presidential grant to develop new methods of sepsis treatment

In 2025, the President of Belarus has allocated grants for 46 specialists in science, education, medicine, culture and youth policy. The order of the President is aimed at supporting professionals in the key spheres of activity for the country. Among those who will receive grants for development, there are representatives of Mogilev region. Thus, an anesthesiologist-reanimatologist Sergei Tochilo received a grant from the President for the development and implementation of new methods of treatment of patients with abdominal sepsis. This diagnosis is often encountered in patients of intensive care units. The prognosis in severe sepsis is unfavorable, and lethality is high even in developed countries. The Mogilev development is designed to change this situation.
