Even under difficult political conditions, historical facts must not be rewritten and the feat of peoples must not be forgotten. This was noted by the representatives of the Slovak delegation. At the invitation of the Belarusian veteran organisations, the guests visited Belarus. The delegation handed over a capsule with soil from the largest military cemetery in Slovakia for the Memorial Church in Honour of All Saints. The ashes of almost 18.000 Red Army soldiers are buried in Michalovce. On 22 March the delegation visited Khatyn. The guests handed over a capsule with soil from the territory of the Slovak memorial complex Kalište. This is the story of a former settlement that was completely destroyed by the Nazis along with its inhabitants in March of 1945 and never reconstructed after World War II.
