A delegation from Saint Petersburg led by Governor A. Beglov is visiting Brest Oblast

Brotherly nations are united by shared memory. Belarus and Russia support one another in preserving their historical and cultural heritage. Guests of Brest visited the "Citadel of Courage" and paid tribute to the fortress' defenders. A meeting with survivors of the Siege of Leningrad who now reside in Brest Oblast was also held. The visitors from Saint Petersburg toured the Youth Patriotic Centre and the garrison military cemetery, where they laid flowers at the memorial plaque honouring the people of Leningrad who perished while defending Brest Oblast during the Great Patriotic War. The visit included discussions with regional leadership. Today's agenda features tours of various enterprises in Brest Oblast.
