A Belarusian schoolboy has gone on an international expedition.

Tikhon Korneenko, a student at Gymnasium No. 1 in Vitebsk named after Alferov, became a participant in the international expedition "Icebreaker of Knowledge". About 5.000 schoolchildren from 22 countries competed in the selection process. The current Arctic expedition includes 24 winners of "Icebreaker of Knowledge" from Russia and one representative from each partner country. The expedition set off from Murmansk aboard the nuclear‑powered icebreaker "50 years of Victory" and will last 10 days. The participants will reach the geographic North Pole.
