The President congratulated the command, personnel
and veterans
of the border guard service on the holiday. 85 years ago,
in the first battles
of the Great Patriotic War,
the border guard heroes stood
to the death defending the borders of the motherland. The feat of grandfathers
and great—grandfathers is a model
of courage and perseverance,
a vivid example for
the younger generation. Today,
the border guards, relying on
the traditions and experience
of veterans, skillfully apply
the latest technologies in the field
of security, reliably counteract
all attempts
to destabilize the situation on
the borders of Belarus, the
Head of State noted.
