19 March marks the 81st anniversary of the liberation of the prisoners of the Ozarichi death camps by the Red Army

This is a crime against the people, the genocide of Nazi Germany, which cannot be forgotten. The Wehrmacht was protected from the advancing Soviet Army units by old people, women and children. 50.000 people were driven into swamps and were kept in the open air without food, water and warm clothes. In addition, the prisoners were infected with typhus. They were to be used as biological weapons to stop the Soviet advance. Dert, Podosinnik, Ozarichi — these were real death factories on the front line of defence. In 10 days, the death camp claimed the lives of more than 20.000 civilians.
