The President's working week began with the agenda of the Union State. A delegation from Nizhny Novgorod Oblast headed by Governor Gleb Nikitin was received at the Palace of Independence. The head of this Russian region is a frequent guest in Belarus. The ties are getting stronger and this is confirmed by joint projects and figures of mutual trade turnover. This year it is growing and has already exceeded half a billion dollars. The task to reach the billion-dollar mark by the end of the year is within our power, Aleksandr Lukashenko said. And there is both the desire and opportunities for this. Minsk and Nizhny Novgorod are implementing several assembly projects: joint production of lifts, as well as assembly of trams and electric buses. Belarus proposes to do even more together.
