Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin discussed topical issues of further development of the Russian-Belarusian relations. The heads of state summarized the results of the CIS summit, which had taken place the previous day. Aleksandr Lukashenko was pleased with the unanimity on the international agenda. As for bilateral relations, the Union State has successfully resisted the sanctions pressure from unfriendly countries. Today, the President of Belarus was presented with the highest state award of the Russian Federation — the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called Apostle. This award was established at the end of the 17th century by Peter the Great. Since 1998, 26 people have been awarded the Order. Among them are President of China Xi Jinping, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, former leaders of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan Heydar Aliyev and Nursultan Nazarbayev.
