The President signed a decree on obtaining membership in the SCO

Belarus is expected in one of the most global organizations on the planet – the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Appropriate procedures are at the final stage. The head of state signed the Decree on obtaining membership in the SCO, which approved the draft memorandum of commitments of Belarus in order to obtain the status of a member state of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Since 2015, the country has been an observer in the SCO. At the last summit in Samarkand, Belarus received the unanimous support of the rest of the participants in the issue of obtaining full membership status.
