The President of Belarus presented state awards to distinguished representatives of various fields

The ceremony took place at the Palace of Independence on the eve of Victory Day, a holiday sacred to all Belarusians. The Head of State noted the special symbolism of the ceremony. Our great-grandfathers once performed a heroic deed, defending their land from enemy onslaught, and today, our contemporaries glorify the country with their labor victories. Every peaceful day, the development and prosperity of Belarus, is the result of their labor. And this labor deserves recognition at the highest level. Among those presented with state awards were many representatives of the security forces. As Aleksandr Lukashenko noted, these are people who are always on duty. The President also expressed gratitude to agricultural workers.
