The development of the Vitebsk region discussed with the President

Topical issues of the Vitebsk region development were discussed today at a meeting with the President. The head of state focused on the course of the harvesting campaign, noting that the agro-industrial complex of the Vitebsk region shows a positive trend, but there are still enough problems. One of the topics was the creation of a domestic antiviral vaccine and the prospects for expanding the range of such products. The construction of a plant for its production is underway in the Vitebsk region. The head of state also dwelled on the preparations for the XI Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia as in the summer of 2024 Vitebsk will host it. Alexander Lukashenko noted that the upcoming Forum is another platform for new business ideas: from innovative developments to signing major contracts. The President of Belarus proposes to discuss the idea of expanding the geography of the forum participants.
