As for economic issues, all plans for Belarusian-Russian cooperation are being implemented, and even at a better pace than expected. This was emphasized by the Russian leader. Mutual trade is growing; together with services, the figure has approached $45 billion. Union programs for import substitution and cooperation are being implemented. At a meeting with his Russian counterpart, Alexander Lukashenko proposed an economic plan. Given the sanctions pressure, more than ever, allies must rely on mutual support. The agenda of the high-level talks also includes the international situation, the implementation of union programs, and joint resistance to sanctions pressure.
