Today is a holiday of courage and patriotism, of everyone who is ready to stand up for the sovereignty of the country, a holiday of professional soldiers and everyone who understands the value of peace. Alexander Lukashenko addressed the participants of the solemn meeting with such words the day before. The President thanked the veterans of the Great Patriotic War, those who fought in Afghanistan, as well as active officers. He noted that the world we protect today rests on historical experience and memory. However, living under a cloudless sky, Belarusians, unfortunately, cannot feel completely safe. And this is what geopolitics dictates to us. During the solemn meeting, Alexander Lukashenko presented state awards to the participants of the CSTO peacekeeping mission in Kazakhstan for exemplary performance of official duties, personal courage, and selflessness.
