Renewable resources were discussed at a meeting with the President

The President held a meeting on waste management and utilisation of secondary material resources. Renewable and secondary resources are "gold" for Belarus, which is literally lying under our feet, but this sphere is still very poorly dealt with in the country. The Head of State made the statement while opening the meeting. Aleksandr Lukashenko reminded that 11 years ago this topic had already been discussed in the same group, and since then many programmes and measures had been adopted and budgetary resources had been invested. The President believes it is necessary to comprehensively analyse the work of the government and executive committees in this area. The participants in the meeting discussed the future strategy for dealing with all types of waste. The President also asked what proposals the government has on measures of responsibility for objective violations of the landscaping and land order rules.
