The heads of state discussed the agenda of the upcoming Eurasian Economic Union summit in Kyrgyzstan, the international agenda, and coordination of joint actions. Important issues of bilateral cooperation were also discussed, i.e. import substitution, implementation of allied programs. Special attention was paid to cooperation in the humanitarian sphere, in particular, science. Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin agreed to organize and hold a Congress of Young Scientists of Belarus and Russia within a year on the basis of the Academy of Sciences. The basis for the upcoming congress will be the recent meeting of the President of Russia with scientists in Sirius and the experience gained by Belarus in course of the large-scale project "100 ideas for Belarus". The presidents also outlined a schedule for further contacts, agreed to hold a meeting in December to discuss practical issues of implementing Union State construction, as well as economic issues.
