President visits Minsk Automobile Plant

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasizes the importance of MAZ victories in motorsports. He made the statement during his visit to the Minsk Automobile Plant. The plant is home to MAZ-SPORTavto, a famous Belarusian sports team in rally-raids. Pilots using domestically produced racing cars participate and win in competitions all over the world. The President inquired about the state of affairs in the team, noting the importance of training a worthy successor in the future. Now the team photo has the autograph of the President of Belarus — for good luck in future competitions. After that, Aleksandr Lukashenko familiarized himself with the reconstruction of bus production at the plant, inspected the model range of passenger vehicles and visited the main assembly areas. The enterprise is implementing a project to produce innovative passenger vehicles new for the Belarusian market on the third generation MAZ platform. The project realization will make it possible to increase the passenger vehicles production capacity by 2 times.
