President on a working visit to Brest region

The harvesting season and prospects for the development of agricultural enterprises were discussed in Brest region on Friday. The President made a working trip to Pinsk district. Aleksandr Lukashenko paid attention to one of the successful farms of the region, Parokhonskoye. It is a large agricultural producer occupying more than 25.000 hectares of land that has been reclaimed and allowed to produce a good harvest. The state support of the Belarusian agro-industrial complex gave an impetus to the development. Today it is a modern enterprise, which shows that it is possible to earn money from milk and meat production on drained lands. The President has set a task to return to the program for the development of Polesie. The head of state was also informed about the results of the harvesting campaign. The gross grain harvest is expected to exceed 10 mln tonnes.
