President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko visited Gomel on a working trip. One of the places he visited was an artillery weapons base. Various types of weapons and military equipment are stored and repaired on the territory of the military facility. The President was informed that the weapons base was formed in 1941 and was involved in the World War II. Since 1945 it has been stationed in Gomel. On its territory there is a storage area for small arms, a workshop for repairing weapons and equipment, and an open storage area for weapons. Alexander Lukashenko asked whether all small arms were repaired, stored properly, and ready for battle.
