President of Belarus receives report from Minister of Internal Affairs

The crime situation in Belarus is improving. This was reported to the President today by Interior Minister Igor Shunevich. In general, the number of crime victims has reduced by three percent. It was the trend in the most important areas of the fight against crime that was of interest to the Head of State today. The leader put special emphasis on combating domestic violence, particularly in the countryside. According to statistics, these crimes are especially cruel, they are difficult to prevent. The President was also interested in the fight against corruption and economic crimes and the new legislative initiatives of the Ministry in the sphere of combating illegal migration.
