President of Belarus meets with chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff of Armed Forces of Pakistan

Belarus is actively building relations with Pakistan. The head of state met with the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Pakistan Armed Forces. The conversation went beyond the purely military themes. The state of South Asia is a capacious and promising market. The task is to increase the trade turnover to a billion dollars by the end of 2020. The meeting also discussed global projects in the region. Islamabad and Beijing are now building the China-Pakistan economic corridor. Belarus participates in the large-scale project «One Belt One Road». The implementation of these initiatives is a good opportunity to combine economic interests.
