Priorities of Belarus' foreign policy were discussed in a meeting with the President. Russia remains the closest ally and the most important trade partner. Analyzing the recent visit to Russia, Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that the talks with Vladimir Putin resulted in mutual understanding on all issues. Belarus also expects to work more actively on the far arc. This opportunity is provided by the country's accession to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Aleksandr Lukashenko recalled important visits of a government delegation to Latin America and visit by the Foreign Minister to the DPRK, the results of which were also discussed during the meeting.
