President confers state awards upon judges

The President handed state awards to 12 judges ahead of the Supreme Court's centenary anniversary. The ceremony took place in the Palace of Independence. The judicial branch of government in its current configuration has been formed structurally and functionally, said the head of state. A unified system of general jurisdiction courts under the Supreme Court has also been established. Vesting courts with the powers of judicial administration and logistics has secured their independence.
