Belarus is ready to strengthen ties with Iran in all areas, Alexander Lukashenko said during an official visit to Tehran. Today is the main day of negotiations, which started with one-on-one communication. The presidents noted that relations between the countries are demonstrating a breakthrough. For example, in 2022 Belarus-Iran trade totaled $100 million, which is a threefold increase. The meeting in a narrow format lasted about an hour. Later, members of the delegations joined the presidents. The main topic was the development of interaction across the entire spectrum of bilateral relations. Alexander Lukashenko noted that Belarus and Iran can be very useful to each other if they truly join forces. Countries can reach a new level of partnership with the highest degree of efficiency. Following the talks, the presidents signed a roadmap for comprehensive cooperation until 2026. Alexander Lukashenko assured that Minsk would do everything necessary to fulfill the signed agreements.
