Presidents of Belarus and Russia Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin have held talks in Moscow. According to Aleksandr Lukashenko, the parties discussed the main areas of cooperation, priorities of the Union State for the near and medium term. The international situation in the global and regional context was also discussed. The Presidents reaffirmed the relevance of the Treaty on Security Guarantees and the Security Concept signed in December 2024. They discussed the prospects for joint work in integration associations. They also paid attention to the new situation in the conflict settlement in Ukraine. Belarus and Russia have a lot of joint plans and projects for 2025. The most important of them is the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. The President of Belarus has confirmed his participation in the anniversary Victory Day Parade on Red Square in Moscow on 9 May.
