Minsk and Bishkek are capable of increasing trade turnover. Alexander Lukashenko stated this at a meeting with the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan. Ermek Ibraimov is completing his diplomatic mission in our country. This is a good occasion to sum up the results of bilateral cooperation. A lot has been done over the past 4 years. It is hoped that the diplomat will continue to further promote the interests of countries. Alexander Lukashenko is confident that there is a need to define a clear roadmap for interaction, not only with Kyrgyzstan. Last year, total trade was around $170 million. There is a growth trend this year as well. Belarus and Kyrgyzstan are working on a number of promising joint projects, e.g. assembly of elevators and transformers. Taking into account the implementation of large infrastructure projects in Kyrgyzstan, there are good chances to deepen cooperation by supplying additional heavy-duty and road equipment. The competencies of our engineers may also be in demand. Belarus is ready to share technologies.
