Lukashenko presents state awards, general’s straps

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has presented state awards to people from across various walks of life, mothers who raised many children, as well as general’s straps to senior officers. The solemn ceremony took place at the Palace of Independence. Among the invitees were more than 30 people. "The high status of uniformed people in our country and the respectful and caring attitude to women are absolutely fundamental values of the Belarusian society", the president noted. Aleksandr Lukashenko gave his special thanks to women with many children, as they chose a difficult, but very important mission. The president congratulated Belarusian female athletes on their sweeping victories at the world and European championships. These victories were acknowledged through the Merited Master of Sport title.
