Integration programs

The implementation of the Union State’s integration programs was discussed at the Palace of Independence. Belarus President focused on the interim results of the work and problematic aspects. The integration package signed over a year ago contains 28 industry programs. Their implementation is a significant step toward ensuring equal rights for citizens and enterprises of the two countries. The President reminded that this is the basis on which we build allied relations. 7 of them have already been fully implemented. In general, the package of documents provides for almost a 1,000 integration measures. About 70% of them have been completed, but some are behind schedule. The President paid special attention to the gaps in the work. Belarus and Russia agreed to take a comprehensive approach to solving many cooperation issues. Delay is not an option. Especially now, when both countries together resist the sanctions pressure. Work continues on the implementation of 21 union programs, including in agriculture, transport, industry, and energy. One of the most important areas is the harmonization of tax legislation, the coordination of tax and customs control on the borders of the Union State.
