The state visit of the President of Belarus to China sets priorities for future cooperation. Beijing hosted talks between Aleksandr Lukashenko and Xi Jinping. The new status of the relations enables the two countries to move forward. Both Minsk and Beijing are ready to make the necessary efforts for this purpose, the two sides have gained mutual support. Xi Jinping urged to breathe new life into the Belarusian-Chinese partnership, and Aleksandr Lukashenko outlined the scope of mutual interests in the economy. The two leaders also reconciled their positions on international security issues. As a whole, the talks between the heads of states went far beyond the allotted time frame. Ten major bilateral documents have been signed. They determine the development of many spheres for decades to come. Agreements and directions in the credit and financial sphere alone are estimated at about $3.5 billion. The leaders also signed a joint statement on the basic principles of development of an "all-weather and all-round strategic partnership".
