Country's central New Year children's event at Palace of the Republic

A New Year's event at the Palace of the Republic brought together children from all over the country. It is the culmination of "Our Children" charity campaign. There were about 2,500 children in attendance, including top students, winners of academic contests, athletic competitions, children left without parental care, residents of boarding schools, children from large families. This year's program includes a fabulous musical performance, round dances and gifts from the head of state. He personally came to congratulate the children on the coming New Year. Aleksandr Lukashenko reminded that “Our Children” campaign has united more than one generation of Belarusians. Every little Belarusian knows that they are infinitely dear and needed in the country, the President said addressing the children. They presented the head of state with a "Symbol of the Year" in the form of a smiling striped tiger cub, as well as a large picture titled "Studzen" depicting a frosty sunny day and playing children.
