Council for Strategic Projects to be set up in Belarus

The Head of State has signed a decree on the Council for Strategic Projects. The main goal is to improve the planning, development and implementation of strategic projects, as well as put results of scientific research into practice. The National Academy of Sciences will ensure the functioning of the Council. It will be headed by Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences Vladimir Gusakov. The key tasks of the Council are to coordinate the search for and selection of promising strategic projects, as well as their support. The Council will also analyze the relevance, political and economic feasibility of the projects and develop proposals to improve their implementation.
