Cooperation between Belarus and Smolensk region discussed at the Palace of Independence

The President of Belarus met with the governor of Smolensk region of Russia. According to Aleksandr Lukashenko, the key areas of cooperation should be machine building, cargo transportation, and food supplies. In particular, the parties are talking about the establishment of a MAZ service center in the Russian region and the creation of assembly plants of Bobruiskagromash and MotoVeloZavod. Renewal of the passenger vehicle fleet in Smolensk region is also under discussion, as well as supplies of Belarusian road maintenance equipment.
