Alexander Lukashenko meets with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Belarus Peter Dettmar

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko met with Ambassador of Germany to Belarus Peter Dettmar. The head of state traditionally meets with foreign ambassadors in order to realize the prospects of developing bilateral relations with key partners. In recent years, relations between official Minsk and Berlin have intensified, especially in politics. In 2015, German Chancellor Angela Merkel visited Belarus to attend the meeting in the Normandy format. This summer the President of Germany visited Minsk. Bilateral turnover is also on the rise. Last year, Belarus had the fourth biggest trade turnover with Germany. Bilateral trade reached $2.8 billion.
