The President of Belarus will take part in a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State. It is scheduled for the second half of today and will be held in the format of a video conference. Aleksandr Lukashenko will chair the event from the Palace of Independence. There are 6 issues on the agenda. The central one is the draft of the guidelines for the implementation of the provisions of the Treaty on the Establishment of the Union State until 2023. A package of Union State programs has been developed in furtherance of those agreements. They have already been approved by the governments on September 10 and will become the practical basis for the deepening integration. In addition, the agenda includes matters of trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Russia, the military doctrine, the concept of the migration policy of the Union State. The participants will also discuss the awarding of the Union Prize in science and technology, as well as the implementation and monitoring of the decisions of the Supreme State Council.
