Aleksandr Lukashenko signed a decree pardoning 18 convicts

The President of Belarus has signed a decree pardoning 18 convicts, including 15 people who committed extremist crimes. The majority of those pardoned are women (11 people). Six of them have children, including those with disabilities and in need of ongoing medical rehabilitation. Two married couples, a woman who is in the last stages of pregnancy, and one convict who violated the law at the age of 16 were also pardoned. All of them applied for clemency, confessed their guilt, repented of their deeds, and promised to lead a law-abiding lifestyle.
